# Privacy Policy

Canonical (authoritative): https://feeblo.com/privacy Markdown mirror of: https://feeblo.com/privacy · Last updated: August 1, 2026

This policy explains what information feeblo collects, how it is used and stored, and the choices you have over your data. It applies to the feeblo cloud service at `app.feeblo.com` and the website at `feeblo.com`. Feeblo is open source and self-hostable; if you self-host, you control the servers, database, and data, and this policy does not govern your deployment.

## Information we collect

- **Account information.** Name, email address, and a securely hashed password, plus any profile details you add.
- **Feedback content.** Feature requests, feedback, votes, comments, reactions, changelog entries, and roadmaps, with metadata such as timestamps and tags.
- **Media uploads.** Images or files attached to feedback and posts.
- **Usage data.** IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and interaction events, used to operate and improve the service.
- **Billing information.** Payment details for paid plans are handled by our payment provider and are not stored on our servers.

## How we use it

- Provide, maintain, and improve the service (authentication, rendering boards).
- Send transactional email such as login links, verification, and account notices.
- Respond to support requests and communicate product changes.
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.
- Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use feedback content to train models or to market third-party products.

## Storage and processors

Cloud data is stored on infrastructure from our hosting partners, which may include providers such as Cloudflare and PostgreSQL hosting services. Media uploads live in S3-compatible object storage (for example Cloudflare R2). Third-party processors are used only to provide the service and are required to protect data to standards consistent with this policy. A current list of processors is available on request.

## Retention

Data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account at any time, which removes the account and associated feedback content except where records must be kept by law. Backups are retained for a reasonable operational period and deleted in due course.

## Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Most rights can be exercised from account settings; contact us for anything else.

## Cookies and analytics

Cookies and similar technologies keep you signed in and help us understand how the service is used. You can control cookies in your browser; some features may not work without them.

## Security

Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

## Self-hosted deployments

Feeblo is distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. When you self-host feeblo, all data is stored on infrastructure you control and this policy does not apply. You are responsible for publishing your own privacy notice, securing your servers, and complying with the data-protection laws that apply to the data you collect.

## Children's privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

## Changes

Material changes are announced by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
