Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information feeblo collects, how it is used and stored, and the choices you have over your data. It applies to the feeblo cloud service operated at app.feeblo.com and the feeblo website at feeblo.com.

Feeblo is open source and self-hostable. If you self-host feeblo, you control the servers, the database, and the data that flows through them. This policy covers our hosted cloud service; self-hosters are responsible for their own handling of end-user data.

Information we collect

We collect the information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the service.

  • Account information. When you sign up for feeblo, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We may collect additional profile details you choose to add.
  • Feedback content. Anything you post through feeblo — feature requests, feedback, votes, comments, reactions, changelog entries, and roadmaps — along with associated metadata such as timestamps and tags.
  • Media uploads. Images or files you attach to feedback and posts.
  • Usage data. Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and interaction events, used to operate and improve the service.
  • Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored on our servers.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the feeblo service, including authenticating you and rendering feedback boards.
  • Send transactional email, such as login links, email verification, and account notices.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate product changes.
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your feedback content to train models or market third-party products.

Data storage and processors

Data you submit to the cloud service is stored on infrastructure provided by our hosting partners, which may include providers such as Cloudflare and PostgreSQL-hosting services. Media uploads are stored in S3-compatible object storage (for example Cloudflare R2).

We use third-party processors only to provide the service, and we require them to protect your data to standards consistent with this policy. A current list of processors is available on request.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account at any time, which removes the account and your associated feedback content from the service, except where we are required to retain certain records by law. Backups are retained for a reasonable period for operational integrity and are also deleted in due course.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights from within your account settings. For anything else, contact us using the details below.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand how the service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Self-hosted deployments

Feeblo is distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. When you self-host feeblo, all data is stored on infrastructure you control, and this Privacy Policy does not govern your deployment. You are responsible for publishing your own privacy notice, securing your servers, and complying with the data-protection laws that apply to the data you collect.

Children's privacy

The feeblo service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
